Description
Are you passionate about affordable and sustainable housing? Can you lead large and complex capital projects? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you here at Cambridge City Council.
We are seeking a talented individual to join our senior team as the lead for new development. You will be responsible for the delivery of new council, affordable, and sustainable homes, including the regeneration of neighbourhoods and supporting the Cambridgeshire Home Improvement Agency to adapt homes for elderly, disabled, and vulnerable people.
You will lead and champion the delivery of large and complex capital projects currently in our pipeline, initiating new opportunities, making deals, and due diligence arrangements. You will also work closely with the City Homes team to incentivise development from private and public sector partners to provide housing for Cambridge residents that is affordable, sustainable, and fit for the future.
Your responsibilities will also include building on the success of our 500 council homes program to deliver a further 1000 new affordable rented homes between 2022-2032, supporting the CHIA to deliver outcomes for residents in the Greater Cambridge and Huntingdonshire. You will have a corporate leadership role and work colleagues to explore new opportunities, define and deliver policies and plans, and align services to ensure these are achieved.
If you have a passion for creating affordable and sustainable housing solutions, and the experience to lead complex capital projects, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Join us in making a difference in the lives of Cambridge residents by delivering high-quality, affordable and sustainable housing solutions.
